Marceau Pipe Organs traces its roots back to 1980 when it began as a local tuning and maintenance service in Portland, OR. By the autumn of 1982, our service route expanded to include Walla Walla, Pullman, and Moscow, ID, where numerous churches benefited from our expert care.

In May 1986, we embarked on our first major project with St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Northeast Portland, marking a significant milestone. This endeavor required a larger workshop capable of handling substantial casework, prompting our move to a modest building in Southeast Portland in 1987.

As demand for new instruments grew, so did our need for expanded facilities. In 1994, we relocated to a spacious workshop in Southeast Portland, equipped with a dedicated woodshed, assembly areas, office space, inventory storage, and a soundproof voicing room. This move enabled us to accommodate the intricate demands of each project under one roof.

Throughout the 1990s, notable organs like those for Memorial Lutheran in Vancouver, Trinity Parish in Seattle, and Chapel Hill Presbyterian in Gig Harbor were crafted in this facility, showcasing our commitment to excellence.

As we entered the 21st century, an opportunity arose to relocate to Seattle, culminating in our move in 2005. Our inventory and operations found a new home in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood by 2006, where we continue to create new instruments, execute rebuilds, and conduct restorations.

Marceau Pipe Organs remains dedicated to our tradition of craftsmanship and service, blending decades of experience with a commitment to musical artistry and technical innovation.
